After seeing snowy Sweden, the opposite of it eventually came to my mind. So when I considered dropping by Dubai on the way back to SL, I wondered whether I could go into the desert. The only option seem to be an organized tour and I wasn't a fan of that. But with no other choice, I signed up and soon found myself in a big 4x4 heading for a tourist experience of the desert. Overall, it was a fun evening with dune bashing, sand surfing, camel rides and a slightly out of place show at the camp in the middle of the desert. I guess the most memorable part of this evening for me was when they turned off the lights at the camp for "star gazing" and I gazed into the night sky to the sound of Coldplay's O.
