Hello 👋
My name is Prabashwara Seneviratne but I often use my nickname bash since most people find my name hard to pronounce. I grew up in Sri Lanka but I currently live in Prague, Czech Republic.
I started this blog in 2015 to help me adjust to coming back home after a two-month exchange trip to Malaysia. I had just seen what traveling and meeting people from all over the world was like and life back home felt mundane and uneventful. After a long visa process, I arrived in the Czech Republic for an internship two years later. The original plan was to finish the internship and return back to Sri Lanka. But it has now been seven years and I am still here. The people I met and being able to travel and live comfortably keep me here.
I love working with tech. I am interested in computer hardware, electronics, home automation and software development and I love figuring things out and creating new things. By day, I work as a lead frontend developer and write a blog about frontend development called Frontend undefined. By night, you will find me tinkering with my home server, a new tech gadget or this blog.
I also love to travel. I am fascinated by how diverse the world is and I want to see as much of it as I can. The highlights of my travels are always the people I meet so I try to meet as many people as I can while I travel. I want to visit at least one country on each subcontinent. This is hard for me to do since I am a Sri Lankan and I don't have free access to most parts of the world. But so far, I have been able to jump through the bureaucratic hoops and get to where I wanted to go.
Why do I have this blog?
I have this blog to share some of my experiences with the world. I occasionally write and share photos from my travels. I also write about some of the tech stuff I have been able to figure out and put together.
